Advantages
- If you are looking to rent your property for short term.
- Usually get $10-$20 more per week
- Attractive to executives in inner city areas – but very much looking for quality
Disadvantages
- Additional costs to insure contents
- Furniture not covered under the tenancy laws in Queensland
- Items may be stolen or damaged
- Tenants usually stay for shorter periods of time and can be quite transient. It is very easy to move in and out of a furnished property quickly.
A tenant that already owns their own furniture is more likely to stay for a second term on their lease than a property that is furnished.
